Nonesuch: face of a "good" major label

7/24/07 by Endorse

Say what you will about Warner Bros. Records (like, say, the overzealous copyright protection, allegiance to the RIAA's rather draconian view of file sharing, the dubious marketing of multiple versions of the Smashing Pumpkins' Zeitgeist, just to start) but the suits have nourished Nonesuch Records. They've got Brian Eno, David Byrne, Laurie Anderson, Ibrahim Ferrer, Wilco, Caetano Veloso, Joshua Redman, Joni Mitchell...that's one hell of a roster.
